چکیده

Aim: Autologous fat transfer (AFT) for the correction of maxillofacial defects was first reported at end 19th century. AFT introduced as a way improving facial esthetics and in last few years has expanded into applications craniomaxillofacial reconstructive surgery regenerative therapy. This protocol is part translational medicine. The aim medicine, or science, to combine disciplines, resources, expertise, techniques based on three main pillars: bench, bedside, community. primary goals coalesce assets various natures significantly improve global healthcare system. thus medicine tissue healing, regeneration augmentation. Methods: Several have been suggested harvesting grafting fat. Authors follow Coleman’s technique with centrifugation infiltration using different types sizes cannulas. Conclusion: review provides fairly comprehensive summary many exciting possibilities that exist field grafting. Five clinical cases are presented discussed. Translational basis this new science research.

Translational Antidote Research: A Bedside to Bench Tale

Although antidote development should proceed in an orderly fashion from observation, to experimental and safety studies, to clinical trials, this sequence is not always precisely followed. The development of fomepizole as an antidote for toxic alcohol and glycol poisoning is an example of how this may not be the case. Interest in the development of fomepizole was spurred in the 1960s. Shortly t...

Autologous fat injection to face and neck: from soft tissue augmentation to regenerative medicine

Minimally-invasive autologous fat injection of the head and neck region can be considered a valid alternative to major invasive surgical procedures both for aesthetic and functional purposes. The favourable outcomes of autologous fat injection in otolaryngological practice are due to the filling of soft tissue and, mainly, to the potential regenerative effect of adipose-derived mesenchymal stem...

Vascular gene transfer : from bench to bedside.

Since the initial experiments nearly a decade ago, remarkable progress has been made in the field of vascular gene transfer, and trials with human subjects already are under way. The potential of vascular wall gene transfer as therapy for various vascular diseases is considerable.1,2 The purpose of this review is 2-fold: (1) to delineate the methods and principles underlying vascular gene trans...
